Heading back to FanClub! Joining us this time is local reggae super heroes Heads Hang Heavy. Starts early and goes late….
The band is having a single release party this Friday at FanClub. The single was recorded in loving memory of the band’s former keyboardist Wilson Padmos, who passed away last year. Proceeds from the single will be part of honorarium to support his partner and son. We hope to see you all for this very special event.
As previously mentioned.....hopefully you're catching on, Freeflow is playing every Tuesday night at FanClub. It's been great having Smoothie on the decks, and blowing some sweet sax with the band. He'll be back tomorrow night as well! Speaking of tomorrow night (September 18th), Mr. Ian Lamont will be joining us, on keys, and pounding out sweet organy grooves on the Hammond b3. Would love to see you there. Dancers and toe tappers as always welcome! By the way.....No Cover! Check out Freeflow's Freeflow's facebook page for some sweet pics from last week's show: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Freeflow/24985664381?ref=ts Peas and Dub....ff
This is a fantastic project that Freeflow is lucky and proud to be a part of.
Shore 104.3 presents the third installment in the Music Saves series, in support of the Vancouver Adapted Music Society and the continued efforts of Canadian Music Therapists.
Music Saves is a music video based on the Playing For Change concept, where performances are filmed and recorded live throughout various picturesque locations around Vancouver, then edited together into one song and video. The video illustrates the power of music and its potential to positively impact peoples’ lives.
For the whole month of November The Yale will be presenting its Concert Blow Out Series, marking 130 years as Vancouver's longest standing live music venue. As part of the celebration Freeflow will be hosting tonight with DJ Smoothie, as well as the Werewolves of Creston. It's also Mr. Smoothie's Birthday weekend, so we're definitely going to turn it up a notch. Going to be a delightful evening of great fun and good cheer.....maybe even some B-Day cake if you're there early enough! Wanted to also let you know that The Yale will be shutting its doors this month....not for good, but for a least a year. Major renos are going on in and around the building. Check out the article in last week's Georgia Straight.
Peace and Love....ff

While most people were watching the hockey game last night, Freeflow was eagerly awaiting Shore 104.3′s announcement of this year’s top ten Summer Song Contest winners. The band made was pretty honoured to make it to the top 20, but that would be like just making the playoffs, and not being invited to the big show. Thanks Raffi for scoring that glorious goal, and an even bigger thanks to all the Shore judges for choosing Freeflow as one of the top 10 finalists!
Going to need your votes to keep the dream alive…..will let you know how to do that very soon.
